Penalosa is the founder and chair of the nonprofit, 8 80 Cities, Chair of the World Urban Parks and President of Gil Penalosa & Associates. He is passionate about cities for all people and advises decision-makers on how to create vibrant cities and healthy communities for everyone. His focus lies on the design and use of parks and streets as great public places as well as on sustainable mobility: walking, riding bikes, using transit, and new use of cars.
