Job Summary/Objective: | |
The Planning Coordinator supports key priorities of the department in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan. Reporting to the Senior Director of Planning and Growth, this role is responsible for coordinating and managing various projects including planning and transportation studies, project and budgeting support and stakeholder and community outreach. The position also leads research and data collection efforts related to key metrics and trends within the Special Services District and serves as the organizational administrator for multiple software platforms. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, refinement, and implementation of transportation demand management initiatives, mobility programs, and urban planning strategies that enhance the experience, accessibility, and functionality of Tampa’s Downtown. Candidates must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects at once, meet deadlines, and work as a part of a collaborative team. Essential Job Duties:
