Legends & Landmarks: A Haunted History Hunt

Description

The Partnership is hosting our inaugural “Legends and Landmarks: A Haunted History Hunt”. This interactive scavenger hunt uses the historic Hillsborough Lodge as home base, with free tours offered of their very unique space. Participants will receive clues to a dozen locations, all within walking distance. Signs at each location share some history and a letter. (Ghost sightings get bonus letters!) Visit each site then unscramble the letters to be entered into our drawing for tickets to the Tampa Bay History Center. Family and Dog Friendly event. 

This event is made possible with support from Hillsborough County. 

Things to remember about this event:

  • Bring a smartphone (to help you look up answers). Don't worry, we will let you "phone a friend" for additional hints.
  • You can tackle the scavenger hunt along or with your own group.
  • This event is family and dog-friendly. 
  • The scavenger hunt should take about hour. (You must be back to the Lodge by 8PM)
  • Free tours of the gorgeous Hillsborough Lodge No. 25 F & AM are available at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 PM. 
  • 15% off at Hotel Flor Tampa Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton's The Dan Lounge. 
  • Completed scavenger hunt entries are eligible for tickets to the Tampa Bay History Center.

Where: Hillsborough Lodge – 508 E Kennedy Blvd. (Built in 1927 and listed on the City of Tampa Historic Landmark Register)

Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for students - Tickets are also available at the door.
